The bread cutting board

We manufacture our solid wood bread cutting boards in classic longitudinal wood or in the end grain version. All of our bread boards have different additional options such as feet, recessed handles or a juice groove on the underside. This makes the cutting boards an absolute all-rounder in every kitchen.

The design of our bread cutting boards is self-developed and shows that it is a real wooden favorite. Open on one side so that the bread crumbs can easily fall off and closed grooves on the other side. The different types of wood round off the wide standard range. This gives you the opportunity to configure your very own bread cutting board.

End grain or longitudinal grain

A question that many of our customers ask themselves. Should it be an end grain or a longitudinal grain bread cutting board? In summary and simplified, you can say that an end grain bread cutting board is of higher quality in terms of workmanship, more complex to maintain and has a great look. The longitudinal grain bread cutting board, on the other hand, is cheaper and requires less maintenance, but the cutting marks become visible more quickly and they will also be deeper. Both can be sanded down, however. High quality = end grain and practical&good = longitudinal grain.

If we're talking about the look, we want to use the example of walnut to show you how different a longitudinal wood and an end grain bread cutting board can look. You'll notice that a longitudinal wood board looks much more harmonious and not very wild. Like a classic board. An end grain board, on the other hand, is much wilder and more playful. In addition to the individual wooden cubes, you can look directly at the annual rings.
