Why a gliding board
More info
If you don’t have much space on your countertop, you have to store your kitchen appliances when using it, lift it up to remove it from a corner. A sliding board, also called a roller board or slider, makes this step easier. By lifting the handle with just one hand 🖐 and minimal effort, lift the four feet and the embedded Roles rely on the work surface. Now you can move the sliding board and the food processor back and forth. This protects the device and yourself 😉.
Properly care for solid wood
You can easily wipe with a damp clothSolid wood absorbs moisture, but always releases it again. By oiling it occasionally, the wood retains its distinctive and great look. You can buy the right oil in our shop. We recommend food-safe biological Linseed oil varnish.
Linseed oil cares for the wood from the inside out and offers comprehensive protection. The oil can of course be used for all types of solid wood. You can find everything about wood care in our detailed blog article:

Super quality gliding board. Custom sizes also available.

The principle and the idea are not bad, I just find it a bit overpriced after first glance.

Dear Harald,
Thank you for your feedback. We are aware that our handmade gliding board is not a bargain. Since a lot of time goes into all of our gliding boards, we unfortunately have no way of offering them at a lower price.
Here is an insight into the creation process:
– Cut wood into several wooden slats
– Planing, thicknessing and joining wooden slats
– Glue planed wooden slats together to form a board
– Plane the glued board again
– Chamfer the board (break edges) and sand to 180 grit
– Water the sliding board so that the last wood fibres stand up
– Drill a recess for the rollers (Forstner bit)
– Sand the sliding board again with 180 grit
– Stain the board twice, allowing 2 hours drying time in between
– Attach rubber feet + wheels + handle
– Pack and ship the gliding board 🙂
As you can see, it's a small board, but there's a lot on it :-).
Nevertheless, I wish you a lot of fun with your new gliding board
Best regards
Mark

The sliding board I ordered for my Kitchenaid arrived yesterday. Very well made and looks good too. I got it in black with a modern handle to match my "kitchen aid". 👍🏻

I am very happy with the sliding board, very nice workmanship 🤩 I would recommend it to anyone 👍 I am glad I ordered it. At first I was very skeptical, also because of the price, but it is really very nice and practical, always recommended.

I bought the rolling board for my Bosch Cookit to avoid large overhangs and it fits perfectly.

Everything went perfectly. And our walnut end grain cutting board, which we received a few weeks ago, is also a focal point in our kitchen!!!
